Medicines known as antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections in both humans and animals. They function by eradicating the germs or by making it difficult for the bacteria to proliferate and flourish.
Different methods can be used to take antibiotics:

üOrally (by mouth) – This could take the form of pills, capsules, or liquids.
üTopically -This could be a cream, spray, or ointment. It might also be ear drops, eye drops, or eye ointment.
üInjected or administered intravenously (IV). Usually, more serious infections require this.
